According to an official statement released by the Cardano Foundation, they have just launched the Shelley testnet website. This is one of the most anticipated steps in the development of the Cardano project. The Cardano Foundation explains that the website for the testnet went live on June 21.
Cardano’s Foundation Lunches Shelley Testnet Website
Cardano (ADA) has been one of the most popular projects in the market during the last years. The project is currently led by Input-Output Hong Kong (IOHK). IOHK was co-founded by Ethereum’s co-founder, Charles Hoskinson.
The crypto project has also introduced a new roadmap in which they explain how will be the transaction between Byron and the Shelley era. With this new Cardano Shelley testnet provides a new way for users and developers to experiment with staking funds. Moreover, this new testnet will allow interested users to create stake pools based on Cardano and help the project evolve into a community-governed blockchain.
The stake pool testnet is expected to be rolled out in three different phases. As reported by CryptoSlate, the first phase is going to allow users to host a Rust self node and establish the basic configuration of stake pools. Meanwhile, the second phase will allow for the connection of various nodes into a “single unified testnet.” Finally, the third phase is going to be used for the delegation and incentives scheme.
ADA is the native currency of the Cardano blockchain and investors are closely following its performance. These announcements are very important for these digital assets that are trying to remain competitive in the market. The Shelley improvement has been one of the most important improvements that a cryptocurrency is going to experience this year.
Charles Hoskinson has also mentioned which are their plans for the future and he said that after 2019, Cardano is expected to be 100 times more decentralized than Bitcoin (BTC) itself.
We wrote a short time ago that IOHK released a new and updated roadmap for the digital currency. The goal was to offer a clear version of the future of this digital currency and the whole blockchain project.
Today, we're very pleased to share our completely redesigned roadmap, charting our progress towards the Cardano 2020 vision. Here's where we'll keep the community updated over the months ahead https://t.co/t1kjKY09lk #Cardano #CardanoCommunity #Blockchain
