EOS was able to reach the fourth position in the cryptocurrency market after growing 29% in just a few days. The whole crypto market was affected by a very hard bear market that made virtual currencies lost more than 90% of their value in some cases. Now, EOS surpassed Stellar Lumens (XLM) as the fourth largest digital asset.

EOS Recovers After Falling to the 9th Position

During most of this year, EOS has been in the top 10. It has usually been in the fifth position without many changes during several months this year. Since August until November, the market fluctuated very little. Indeed, Bitcoin remained very stable between $6,000 and $8,000 most of the time close to $6,400.

During the last weeks, EOS has been affected by one of the hardest bear markets in cryptoā€™s history. Since May 2018, EOS lost more than 93% of its value when it registered its all-time high. At that time, EOS reached a market capitalization of $18 billion and a price per coin of more than $22.

Nevertheless, at the beginning of December, this virtual currency touched $1.54 per coin and a market cap of $1.41 billion. In this way, EOS fell under Litecoin (LTC), one of the most valuable virtual currencies in the space, something that does not happen since April 2018.

During the last 7 days, EOS is the cryptocurrency that registered the largest growth among the top 20. According to CoinMarketCap, EOS grew 41.74% in the last week. In just 24 hours, it gained 22%. Litecoin is the following virtual currency with the best performance in the top 20 with a weekly growth of 22.5%.

In the last 24 hours, most of the virtual currencies registered a price increase. In the top 10, EOS, XRP and XLM registered the largest growth rates in the last 24 hours.

Bitcoin (BTC) is also showing signs of recovery. The popular cryptocurrency moved from $3,250 up to $3,590 in just a few days. The market was very bearish and several experts were predicting Bitcoin to reach new lows this year. Although there is no confirmation that this bear trend finished, Bitcoin seems to be behaving more positively that November and the first part of December.

At the time of writing, Ā EOS has a market cap of $2.39 and each coin can be bought for $2.64.
