Cardano (ADA) continues to expand in the market, this time a Japanese restaurant is accepting ADA as a means of payment. Japan is one of the most active countries in the cryptocurrency space. The information was released by the company on its official Telegram channel. After being contacted by the Global PR Manager at Emurgo, the official commercial arm of Cardano, he explained that this is not a new payment system but instead, a restaurant in Japan is accepting ADA through its Yoroi wallet.
Japanese Restaurant Accepts ADA Through Yoroi’s Wallet
According to the information released by the Cardano Foundation, on June 22nd they have attended the first ever transaction of ADA at a Japanese restaurant that accepts the cryptocurrency through the Yoroi Wallet. The Yoroi wallet is being used at Tamura Kenji’s BBQ restaurant called Tamura and it will be powered by Emurgo. In addition to it, the foundation conducted a Tangem card giveaway.

“On June 22, Cardano Foundation attended the first ever #Ada payment system introduced in Japan, at Tamura Kenji’s BBQ restaurant “Tamura”, powered by Emurgo! The foundation also did a Tangem card giveaway. Great for ADAption!”
ADA is the cryptocurrency used in the Cardano network. Currently, the digital currency is the 11th largest in the market according to CoinMarketCap. Each ADA can be purchased for $0.096 and it has a market capitalization of $2.5 billion.

The Cardano roadmap explains about the network:
“Cardano is a groundbreaking proof-of-stake blockchain network, being developed into a decentralized application (dApp) development platform with a multi-asset ledger and verifiable smart contracts.”
