What is VulcanVerse?

VulcanVerse is an open-world multiplayer online role-playing game created by a team of Fighting Fantasy authors, Steve Jackson, and Ian Livingstone. His goal is to give the players a unique and exciting experience when it comes to blockchain gaming. The game’s Beta version was released last July 202, making it the first player-owned MMORPG powered by a blockchain economy.

Vulcan Forged is proud to announce that the game’s NFTs are designed by the Godfather of Fantasy art, Frank Frazetta. The team has then secured the Intellectual Property (IP) rights for his work in the VulcanVerse since they will distribute these fantasy-themed NFTs in the VulcanVerse world.

VulcanVerse Game Books and Lore

The god Vulcan’s goal is to create a new Olympus from the rumbles of VulcanVerse, but due to the fast technological progress of humankind, the gods are losing their powers. However, Vulcan decided to embrace the new technology age and created a virtual-born god.

This game is set in a virtual world that recreates the Greco-Roman era at a pace called the VulcanVerse. The central Vulcan City is divided into four quadrants: The underworld of Hades, Gardens of Arcadia, Mountains of Boreas, and Deserts of Notus.

These quadrants each have landmarks that provide the plot and land buffs for quests and adventures. The players can build their lands and create new buildings to add functions and produce goods they can trade in Vulcan City with other players.

The game lore revolves around the god Vulcan and his quest to restore VulcanVerse to its former glory. To do this, he needs the help of the mortals that reside in the land to advance their knowledge and create technologies to repair the damaged lands of VulcanVerse.

The award-winning British authors’ Dave Morris and Jamie Thomson are in the process of writing the VulcanVerse Trilogy called “The Vulcan Verses”. The stories feature the adventures in VulcanVerse, including its lore and quests. This will allow you, as a player, to fully understand the intricate and rich mythology of VulcanVerse, and appreciate this blockchain crypto MMORPG in the metaverse.

Virtual Reality Meets Fantasy

If you are already familiar with the art, you’ve probably heard of Frank Franzetta’s famous artwork, “Egyptian Queen,” which sold for $5.4 million. This artwork will be made into a Non-Fungible Token for the first time under the “Vulcanite” theme of VulcanVerse. Vulcanite is a champion in-game that players can use along with other champions.

Some of the original licensed artworks are already being sold worldwide for millions of dollars. Since the Vulcan Forged team has already secured the Intellectual Property rights for these NFTs,  buyers are more assured that their transactions are legitimate and protected by the game developers and their unique blockchain technology.

Over 50 million PYR tokens are created, and over 20 million are in active circulation. The other 10 million PYR is pooled to be used for staking in-game.

How To Play VulcanVerse (for beginners)

VulcanVerse players have a lot of quests to do in the various quadrants of the land. The great thing about it is that you can create your palaces, games, artworks, and objects within the game. You can create your own avatar and use it to provide you with the ability to engage with other players as well as have interactive adventures through spying, foraging, and battling.

Maps

Before playing the game, you must first understand the VulcanVerse and its quadrants. The VulcanVerse is divided into five areas, with Vulcan City as the center. Vulcan City is the capital and the home of Vulcan himself. The palace and other administrative buildings are located here.

Vulcan City

You can register your land purchases here and check out the available Vulcanites. You can also enhance your credentials and invest in tiers offering higher memberships to players. This city is run by extraordinary beings that look like mortals made by Vulcan, and they possess high intelligence and reason to interact with the players.

Mountains of Boreas

Boreas is the god of the North Wind, and this quadrant is perpetually in Winter. There are mountains with ice caps, eyres, and hilltop tops. Players should be wary of this place since it is a labyrinth, and it is advised to take the high passes to avoid getting lost in these mountains.

Gardens of Arcadia

This quadrant is green and lush. It has landmarks such as the Druid’s Shrine, the deep forest, the Woodlands of Ambrosia, and the Wineries of the Nectar of the Gods. You can also find creatures here, such as the Centaur and Ents.

Underworld of Hades

This is considered the darker side of VulcanVerse. It is ruled by the god Hades and is known as the underworld. This region is home to terrifying sights like the Palace of the Dead and The Plains of Howling Darkness, as well as demonic creatures.

Desert of Notus

This quadrant is arid and hot with an infinite amount of sands. You can see three pyramids here where there are Mausoleums hidden underneath the vast area of sand and dust, and there will be sphinxes guarding the tomb entrance. You can also visit other landmarks here, such as the Cataract of Tethys, Dunes of Doom, and the mighty city of Iskandria.

Vulcanites

Vulcanites are the beasts that inhabit the VulcanVerse, and they can range from demons to sabertooth tigers and dryads to minotaurs. The Vulcanites belong to each quadrant, and they will do the battle for you. The most important thing you need to remember about them is that they have special orders and editions, and you must consider those when battling with an enemy, Vulcanite.

VulcanVerse Staking

Just like other crypto games, you can stake your tokens. The goal of staking is to reduce the number of liquid crypto assets flying around the market, thus minimizing the effects of inflation. In return for staking, you are given various rewards.

In VulcanVerse, there are currently three ways you can stake your PYR:

  1. Leveling up your land.

To level up your land, it first needs to be sown. Sowing is only done once, and sowed land will never lose its status. After it is sowed, there is a 20-day waiting period before you can stake PYR to level it up. The image below will show you how much you need to bet to reach that level.

If you decide to remove staked PYR below the level’s PYR requirement, it will drop a level immediately.

  1. PYR Staking Programs

Occasionally PYR staking programs will be available for specific periods. This will allow players to receive more rewards. Be sure to look out for betting programs, as these are guaranteed ways to earn rewards. These include PYR tokens from the Staking pool.

  1. Harvesting Seeds

You can harvest Seeds in return for Special Items from the Vulcan’s Vault. Harvesting seeds requires you to stake PYR for it to grow into an NFT that you can sell or keep in your wallet.

As a speaker, you are entitled to PYR payouts when Vulcan releases PYR into circulation. They plan to release 10 million PYR over 48 months. You are entitled to receive PYR proportional to your contribution relative to other stakers. The higher your contribution to others, the higher your rewards will be. Rewards will also be paid monthly into your My Forge account.

Gods

There are two types of Gods in the VulcanVerse; Titans and Olympians. You can own and collect these Gods in the form of rare NFTs. The Gods also can increase your avatar’s skills and buffs. The Titans and Olympian Gods first start as babies (Level 1) and you can age them (20 days for each level) to full God mode (Level 7) to unlock the full potential of their powers.

Here is the list and their short descriptions to help you navigate them better.
