Bylines
Articles are published under a named byline, and each author has a profile page on this site.
Where an article is produced by the editorial team rather than a single writer, it is published under the UseTheBitcoin editorial byline.
How we source
- We work from primary sources first: regulator statements, court filings, project documentation, on-chain data and official company announcements.
- Market and price data is attributed and timestamped.
- Where we build on another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link to it.
- Claims we cannot verify are labelled as unverified or are not published.
- Information given on background is used without naming the source, and only with the editor’s approval. Terms agreed with a source are not changed after the fact.
Review
Our Editor reviews articles for accuracy, sourcing and structure before publication.
Articles covering price movements, investment topics, tax or regulation receive additional verification of factual claims and figures.
Price predictions
Price prediction content is identified as speculative. We publish the reasoning and data behind a projection rather than a number on its own, and present forecasts as scenarios with stated assumptions.
Nothing on this site is financial advice. Crypto assets are volatile and you can lose your entire investment. Readers should do their own research and consult a licensed adviser before making financial decisions.
Corrections
We correct factual errors visibly, update articles as stories develop, and remove content whose central claim cannot be supported.

We publish sponsored articles and press releases. This content is labelled as sponsored and is not produced by our editorial team. Sponsored placements do not influence editorial decisions.
Where an article contains affiliate links, we disclose it on that page. Full detail is in our Disclosure Policy.
Conflicts of interest
Contributors disclose any holding, paid relationship or advisory position relevant to what they are writing about. Holdings above $1,000 in a specific asset are disclosed in the article where that asset is the subject. Bitcoin and Ethereum are exempt, given how widely held they are.
Writers do not cover projects in which they hold a material personal position, and do not trade on information gathered in the course of their work before it is published.
