Since 2017, we’ve explained Bitcoin in plain English, through the crashes, the manias, and all the noise in between. The hype sites from back then are gone. We’re still here, still answering the questions careful people actually ask.

Plenty of crypto sites launched during a bull run and vanished when the market turned. We launched in 2017 and covered every cycle since, the 2018 crash, the 2021 mania, the quiet stretches nobody was clicking on. Staying honest through all of it is the whole reason we’re still here.

Real names, real accountability
Our own articles carry the name of the writer who wrote them. Press releases are labelled Sponsored and carry the name of the company or newswire that supplied them.
Sources you can check
Factual claims are attributed to named primary sources, whitepapers, audit reports, on-chain data. Not “experts say.”
We fix our mistakes in public

We will never tell you a coin is guaranteed to go up
Anyone who does is guessing or selling. Usually both.

Most crypto content is built for traders watching charts or developers who forgot what it feels like to not know things. If you’ve ever opened an article, hit three unexplained acronyms in the first paragraph, and closed the tab feeling stupid, that wasn’t on you. That was bad writing.
We write for the person who wants to understand Bitcoin before buying it, wants to know if their coins are safe on an exchange, and wants a straight answer about hardware wallets without being sold one in the same breath. No hype, no pressure, no assumption that you already know the jargon.

Built to be the site we couldn’t find
When UseTheBitcoin started in 2017, the choice was between technical documentation written for engineers and hype blogs promising 100x returns. Nothing in between for the normal person with a job, a 401k, and a reasonable question. We built the in-between.
Editorial direction is led by David Constantino, our editorial lead, working with a team of writers and editors spread across multiple countries. You can meet the full team on our team page.

UseTheBitcoin is owned by BC3 Digital LLC. It has no outside investors. We do not take money for news coverage, reviews, ratings or interviews.
The site is free to read. It is paid for by:

- banner and display advertising, and sponsorships of our newsletter;

How our content is made
- Each article is written by a named writer and reviewed by our editorial lead before it goes live.
- We work from primary sources: regulators, court filings, project documents, on-chain data and company statements, and we link to them.
