Advertising and Disclosure Policy
UseTheBitcoin is owned and operated by BC3 Digital LLC and is free to read. This page explains how we make money, how we label paid content, and how we keep it separate from what our writers report. Last updated: October 20, 2026.
How we make money
- Affiliate links. Some links to exchanges, wallets and tools are partner links. If you sign up or buy through them, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price.
- Sponsored press releases. Companies pay to publish announcements in our Crypto Live Feed and Press Releases sections, either directly or through distribution services such as Chainwire.
- Advertising. Banner and display ads on our pages, and sponsorships of our newsletter, The Bitcoin Compass.
- Merchandise. Sales from our UTB shop.
None of these buy a place in our news coverage, a better rating in a review, or the removal of something we published.
Affiliate links
We have partner agreements with some of the companies we write about, for example Binance, Coinbase, Ledger, Trezor, Bybit, KuCoin, Gate, Koinly, Gemini, CoinLedger, Bitget, Cryptohopper, Crypto.com and Tangem. The BC.Game banner at the top of the site and the “Trading Bot” (OctoBot) link in our menu are partner links too. When an article contains a partner link, a short note at the top says so.
- Our writers choose what to cover and how to rate it. A partner deal does not change a rating or a conclusion, and we also cover and recommend products we earn nothing from.
- A commission never changes the price you pay.
- Partner products are not available in every country. Check that a service is legal and licensed where you live before you sign up.
Sponsored press releases
- Press releases are written by the company that issues them, not by our writers. We publish them as received, apart from formatting.
- They appear in the Crypto Live Feed and Press Releases sections, and each one starts with a “Sponsored” note.
- Publishing a press release is not an endorsement of the company, its token or its claims. Many crypto projects fail; do your own research.
- Links in press releases are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Articles, reviews and interviews are never paid
We do not accept payment for articles, reviews, ratings, interviews or news coverage. The only paid content on UseTheBitcoin is press releases, and they are labelled “Sponsored”.
Labels we use
- Sponsored: a press release that a company paid to publish.
- This article contains affiliate links: we may earn a commission from links in the article.
- Press Release and Crypto Live Feed: the sections where paid announcements are published.
What advertisers cannot buy
- A news story, an article, a review, an interview or a better rating.
- Changes to, or removal of, something our writers published. Factual errors are handled under our Corrections Policy, whoever reports them.
We review every advertiser and may refuse any ad, press release or partner that could mislead readers.
Our writers’ holdings
Writers disclose relevant crypto holdings and paid relationships, as set out under Conflicts of interest in our Editorial Policy. A holding above $1,000 in a specific asset is disclosed in any article about that asset.
