Morph Payments announced on September 21, 2026, that it has expanded its stablecoin payment platform to support Solana and TRON while allowing customers to pay businesses directly from compatible cryptocurrency exchanges without connecting a wallet to the platform.
Businesses can now receive USDC and USDT on Solana and USDT on TRON. Customers can also pay directly from compatible exchange accounts or wallets using a standard transfer, removing a step from Morph’s previous flow that required connecting a wallet before paying.
Renna Ba, Head of Ecosystem at Morph, said if someone already has USDT in an exchange account, paying shouldn’t require moving it into another wallet first, framing the update as meeting businesses and customers where they already are.
What the Solana and TRON Expansion Adds
The expansion adds three stablecoin and network combinations to Morph Payments.
| Network | Supported Stablecoins |
| Solana | USDC, USDT |
| TRON | USDT |
Table 1. New stablecoin and network support added by Morph Payments.
The network and stablecoin must match the payment instructions at checkout. Supporting USDT on TRON doesn’t mean another token on TRON can be sent to the same address.
TRON has emerged as one of the most widely used networks globally for USDT transfers, with notable adoption across Latin America and Southeast Asia, a corridor pattern also covered in a comparison of Bitcoin versus stablecoins for remittances.
How Customers Can Pay Directly From Crypto Exchanges
The other major change is removing the wallet-connection requirement. Customers can open a merchant’s checkout, check the required stablecoin, network, and amount, then copy the payment address or scan the QR code, selecting the matching asset through a compatible exchange’s withdrawal interface, reviewing any fee, and confirming the transfer, a process similar to anyone buying TRX on Binance before using it elsewhere.
Morph then tracks the transaction through its infrastructure, and businesses can receive signed webhooks when an order reaches a given status, though the exchange used must support withdrawals of the selected stablecoin on the specified network.
How Morph Separates the Payer From the Merchant’s Setup
A more significant technical detail is how Morph structures its infrastructure. According to Morph’s API documentation, the platform maintains separate catalogs for receiving and paying currencies, allowing the payment side of a transaction to be configured separately from the asset a merchant uses to receive funds.
A merchant doesn’t necessarily have to mirror every stablecoin and network a customer might use. The customer’s option depends on their exchange’s supported networks, while the merchant’s receiving setup is handled separately, giving the update broader significance than simply adding two networks.
Why the Update Matters for Everyday Stablecoin Payments
Morph Payments is designed for businesses, freelancers, and globally distributed organizations. The platform is non-custodial, meaning merchants retain control of their receiving wallets rather than transferring custody to Morph, according to the company’s announcement.
The update addresses two practical barriers: network compatibility and wallet setup. A customer may already hold USDC on Solana or USDT on TRON while a merchant’s system previously supported a different network, and direct exchange payments remove the need to transfer funds into another wallet first, though withdrawal fees, network support, and processing times can still affect the experience.
What Morph’s Existing Network Coverage Still Includes
The new Solana and TRON support expands rather than replaces Morph Payments’ existing coverage, which also spans USDT and USDC on Morph, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, and Ethereum. The update builds on Morph Payments’ initial August 2026 launch as a non-custodial platform for accepting, sending, and managing stablecoin payments.
What Comes Next for Morph Payments
Morph Payments has also expanded its Help Center to give businesses and customers more information about the platform and its features. The broader impact will depend on merchant adoption and how many exchanges support the required stablecoin and network combinations going forward.
What this means for you: Morph Payments users can now make eligible business payments using USDC or USDT on Solana and USDT on TRON, including directly from compatible exchange accounts. The key requirement is matching the exact stablecoin and network shown at checkout and checking any exchange withdrawal fees before confirming a transfer.
