The team developing the highly anticipated layer-2 blockchain Shibarium for Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) has established a portal dedicated to promoting the network’s adoption.
The ‘Join Shibarium’ webpage is intended to serve as a platform for developers, content creators, business owners, and job seekers interested in contributing to the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Shytoshi Kusama, the project’s lead developer, anticipates that the new site will facilitate collaboration for anyone wishing to build on Shibarium. The developer explained in their blog post that the intake system they have implemented aims to identify the top projects and connect them with relevant parties for support and assistance.
The system is expected to facilitate a more organized process and expand Shibarium’s reach with the involvement of professional companies and rekindle relationships with past businesses. The intake system is also intended to assist in finding suitable validators for the platform.
Shibarium is intended to compare to layer-2 scaling methods such as Polygon (MATIC). The new network will enable the creation of custom tokens within the Shiba Inu ecosystem by developers. It is also anticipated to increase transaction speeds and decrease gas fees significantly.
While Shibarium prepares for its approaching beta launch, Kusama issues a caution to crypto traders to be on the lookout for new currencies launching on the network. The statement reminds users that all tokens and products on the beta network are solely for testing purposes. It warns against purchasing anything found on Shibarium until the main net launch to avoid scams.
Shibarium’s beta release is anticipated to happen the following week. However, the official release has not yet been given a launch date.
