Fold Holdings (NASDAQ: FLD) said in a July 15, 2026 press release that its Bitcoin Gift Card is now sold through TikTok Shop, in denominations of $25, $50, $100, $250 and $500. Fold said the card can be bought using nearly all major payment methods already saved in a shopper’s checkout.
What Happened
Shoppers can now find the Fold Bitcoin Gift Card in TikTok Shop’s storefront, billed as the first dedicated Bitcoin gift card sold on the platform, and buy it without a separate crypto exchange account. The listing puts Bitcoin purchases in front of TikTok Shop’s largely Gen Z and Millennial shopper base.
Fold Chairman and CEO Will Reeves said in the GlobeNewswire release that the company is proud to offer “the first and only Bitcoin gift card available on TikTok Shop,” adding that placing it directly in the app makes Bitcoin accessible to shoppers already browsing for gifts.
The timing lines up with a Fold-commissioned survey on 2025 holiday gifting, also detailed in Manila Times‘ coverage of the release, which was further syndicated on Nasdaq’s press-release wire for FLD shareholders. That survey found 60% of consumers were interested in giving Bitcoin as a gift, and 62% said they already trust crypto gift cards on the market.
A larger share, 78%, preferred a Bitcoin gift card from a regulated U.S. financial institution over one from a typical crypto company, a distinction Fold has leaned on since its 2025 public listing.
A Lower Barrier for First-Time Bitcoin Buyers
For someone who has never owned Bitcoin, this removes a real barrier. A shopper with a saved card on TikTok Shop can buy Bitcoin in a fixed amount the same way they’d buy a streaming gift card, no separate signup step needed.
It’s part of a wider run of Bitcoin retail on-ramps covered in our Bitcoin news section this year. The card still has to be redeemed into a wallet before spending or holding it, so buyers should plan for how to store it safely before purchasing.
The Holiday Season Rollout Fold Is Building Toward
Fold has steadily added retail distribution for the Bitcoin Gift Card over the past year. In August 2025, the company brought the card to Giftcards.com through a deal with prepaid gift-card provider Blackhawk Network, a partnership Decrypt reported could put Fold’s card in over 400,000 retail locations. The TikTok Shop listing follows that playbook, timed for the 2026 holiday season. Watch for whether Fold adds more listings as November approaches.
What This Means for You
If you don’t already have a Bitcoin wallet, set one up before buying the card so you can redeem it as soon as it lands in your TikTok Shop order. The amount of Bitcoin you actually receive is based on the price at the moment you redeem the card, not the moment you bought it, so a delay between purchase and redemption can change what you end up with. Treat the redemption step like any other Bitcoin transaction and double-check the wallet address before confirming it, since it can’t be reversed once it’s sent.
