Donald Trump, the former U.S. President, has announced the release of a new digital trading card collection, termed the “Mugshot Edition.” This collection marks the first instance where he offers physical and digital cards. The announcement was made via his social media platform, Truth Social.

In his post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his excitement about the launch, attributing it to the success of his prior non-fungible token (NFT) collections. He stated:

“Due to the great excitement and success of my previous Trump digital trading cards, we’re doing it again,  The Mugshot Edition, available right now.”

A unique aspect of this launch is the offer attached to purchasing 47 Mugshot Edition cards. Buyers will receive a fragment of the suit Trump wore for his mugshot photo and an invitation to a gala dinner at his Mar-a-Lago residence. Trump maintained the pricing of the NFT cards at $99 per card.

In a video accompanying the announcement, Trump detailed, “For the first time, we’re creating a real physical Trump card. Purchase 47 digital cards and we will mail you a beautiful trading card. It is an authentic piece of the suit I wore when I took that now-famous mugshot.” He also mentioned that he would be autographing some of these cards.

This launch follows Trump’s previous forays into NFT collections. His first digital card collection, launched in December of the previous year, featured art depicting his life and career. His second collection was introduced in April, shortly after his indictment on 34 felony counts of allegedly falsifying business records.

In August, the sales of Trump’s existing digital cards surged following the release of his mugshot photo, witnessing a 426% increase within 24 hours. Additionally, in July, Trump reported over $1 billion in income from various sources, including NFT sales, in a filing with the Office of Government Ethics.
