Selyo is set to become the next generation of professional networking, with long-term plans to evolve into a full-blown reputation platform. Envisioned as a digital calling card, the project aims to simplify how professionals introduce themselves, not just in conferences but in scenarios like job interviews, where your profile instantly showcases who you are without the need for external platforms.
Currently, Selyo is actively tokenizing social interactions at events and conferences, providing a novel way for participants to engage, collect digital badges, and connect with exhibitors and sponsors through NFC-enabled QuestCards.
That said, we got the chance to interview Ray Tristan Publeo, the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Selyo, during the recent Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025 in Cebu City, Philippines. This groundbreaking event is Cebu City’s first-ever crypto and blockchain conference in partnership with Web3 Cebu and WAV3.
What Is Selyo?

Selyo is a platform for tokenizing social interactions, bringing the next-gen experience to events and organizations powered by Web3 and the Internet of Things (IoT).
“Selyo is a Web3 reputation platform that seamlessly streamlines the exchange of social interactions during events and conferences,” Ray Tristan Publeo, the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of Selyo, told UseTheBitcoin during the recent Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025.

Notably, Selyo enhances event experiences by replacing traditional paper forms with seamless NFC cards called “QuestCards” that capture all interactions, engagements, and experiences on-chain.

During the event’s commencement, representatives of Selyo deploy custom NFC scanners called “PANATAK,” enabling attendees to tap their cards for smooth and effortless registration. The QuestCard triggers a Web3 transaction with the help of the PANATAK device, which connects to the Solana blockchain through the Selyo platform.
With the same card and scanner, attendees can collect exclusive non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from exhibitors as proof of their interactions, and these NFTs can be viewed in their public profiles.
As Publeo highlighted:
“Selyo tokenizes social interactions wherein these are converted into NFTs or digital badges. So, it’s not different from the traditional minting we experience on digital platforms. With the keys of Selyo, we provide physical interfaces that users can use to interact with the exhibitors and organizers.”
Additionally, Selyo provides valuable data for exhibitors, tracks attendee interactions, and offers insights for post-event analysis, helping to understand social dynamics and engagement better.
Selyo Mints Over 700 NFTs During The Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025
During the Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025, Selyo minted over 700 NFTs on the Solana blockchain, setting a new benchmark for digital interactions.
This also highlights the increasing adoption of NFTs, showcasing how blockchain is being utilized to provide verifiable proof of participation and engagement, enhancing the value of attending events and conferences.
More Than Just Tokenizing Social Interaction
Selyo aims to go beyond mere social interaction by integrating financial functionalities into its platform. According to their Publeo, they plan to expand into financial services, leveraging the fact that the accounts on Selyo also function as cryptocurrency wallets:
“Beyond our reputation platform, later down the road, we plan on expanding into finance since the accounts on our platform double down as crypto wallets.”
Currently, Selyo’s primary target audiences are individuals who are either new to or unfamiliar with Web3. The platform seeks to onboard these users by providing a user-friendly entry point into the decentralized web, making the complexities of blockchain and crypto more accessible.
When users interact with Selyo, they should expect a platform that serves as a digital calling card. This means they can exchange contact details and present a comprehensive digital profile showcasing their identity, experiences, certifications, and event participation. Users will find a tool that facilitates networking and builds a verifiable digital footprint of their professional and personal journey within a Web3 environment that promotes ownership and privacy of their data.
New Features And Expansions We Expect From Selyo In The Coming Years
Selyo is on its way to becoming a comprehensive reputation platform, potentially transforming into a tool akin to digital business cards. This might involve features that facilitate networking, much like the HiHello app, where users can share digital cards through various methods like NFC, QR codes, or direct sharing options. This would enable professionals to introduce themselves effortlessly at events or during job interviews, as suggested by Publeo:
“In the coming years, you can expect Selyo to be a full-blown reputation platform wherein it’s something that you would use to introduce yourself. For example, during conferences, you could quickly whip out your NFC card or digital profile to showcase who you are. Another example is in job interviews; instead of having to pull up your LinkedIn, you can just use your Selyo profile to let the interviewer know who you are.”
