Litecoin Surges to $265 As Bitcoin Reaches New Highs

Litecoin (LTC) has surpassed $265 after Bitcoin (BTC) surged to over $68,000 for the first time in history. The entire crypto market is turning bullish and Litecoin becomes a clear leader alongside other virtual currencies. Litecoin could continue growing in the coming days and reach the top 10 cryptocurrency market once again, after several months close to the top 20.

Litecoin Surpasses $265

Litecoin has become a clear leader in the market the day in which Bitcoin surpassed $68,000 for the first time in history. As the cryptocurrency market continues to expand, Litecoin shows that it is ready to lead this bull market in the coming days and weeks.

According to CoinGecko, Litecoin has expanded 35% in the last 7 days and 17.6% in the last 24 hours. This is the third-largest price increase among the top 100 coins in the crypto market. Moreover, it is also the 8th largest price increase among the top 100 last week.

This shows that Litecoin, which has been relegated for several months, continues to be alive. Indeed, there are different projects that could help LTC become one of the largest and most useful coins in the coming years. More specifically, privacy features could help LTC become the largest privacy coin in the cryptocurrency market.

It is worth taking into consideration that other legacy coins such as Ethereum Classic (ETC), Dash (DASH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), ZCash (ZEC) and NEO (NEO) have also been growing over the last few days. It seems that these virtual currencies that have been underperformers in recent years could start moving higher in the coming days.

One of the most recognized investors in the cryptocurrency market, CryptoBirb, has been very bullish about Litecoin. Indeed, he shared different charts in which he shows that this legacy coin is technically ready to move higher in the coming days and weeks.

In addition, there have been several investors that considered that Litecoin was a dead project and that it was not going to pump as it did during the last days. Several analysts consider that it might be possible for Litecoin to hit $1,000 during this bull run, however, this remains to be seen.

At the time of writing this article, CoinGecko reports that Litecoin has a price of $265 per coin and a market valuation of $18.3 billion. If Litecoin hits $1,000 per coin, it would become the 7th largest virtual currency with a market valuation of $69 billion.
