Facebook could build one of the most used products in the cryptocurrency world. This is what Morgan Creek’s Anthony Pompliano said in a recent Tweet answering Mike Dudas, co-founder of Button. It seems that Facebook is hiring blockchain engineers but there is no clear information about which is the purpose behind this.
Could Facebook Build the Most Used Crypto Product?
Facebook is one of the most important companies all over the world. Now it seems that it wants to work with blockchain technology. In a recent tweet, Mike Dudas shared a picture in which Facebook is searching for a blockchain engineer.
Pompliano answered him saying that he bets that Facebook will build the most used product in the cryptocurrency world. There are several companies in the space, but none of them was able to reach the same amount of users as other traditional companies in other fields.
I bet Facebook builds the most used product in crypto.

However, Pompliano mentioned that he does not know when a Facebook blockchain or crypto product would be launched to the market.
About it, he mentioned:
“That’s for them to announce [the launching date of a blockchain product]. They have more 1B user products than any other company I believe. They out-executed everyone historically. You could go at most corporates, but Facebook ain’t it.”
Mr. Pompliano said that Facebook has a team that has too much talent and experience to be taken lightly. He mentioned that betting against Kevin Weil, morgan Beller, Zuck, Chris Cox, and the FB growth team is insanity.

As we wrote earlier this year, Facebook decided to create a new blockchain division in order to investigate new applications of blockchain technology. At that time, David Marcus, former PayPal’s CEO, left Messenger – where he was working at that moment – to explore how to leverage Blockchain across Facebook.
Until now, Facebook did not unveil any blockchain-related product or service for its users. Nevertheless, the company is investing in blockchain technology and analysing how to use it at Facebook.
