FIFA is getting ready for the 2022 World Cup that is going to take place in Qatar on Sunday, November  20. This time, FIFA announced a new NFT platform that will be launched later this year and that will include different football-themed collectables for fans all around the world. The information was released by FIFA a few hours ago in a press release.

FIFA Launches New NFT Platform On Algorand

According to a recent press release, FIFA+ Collect is a new platform that allows fans to own and collect NFTs linked to FIFA’s most important moments. These moments are related to both the FIFA World Cup and the FIFA Women’s World Cup. This represents a unique opportunity for NFT collectors to get access to one of the most exciting NFT collections in the world.

As per the official statement, FIFA+Collect is expected to be available later this month at very affordable prices. The goal is to make it inclusive and accessible to all football fans around the world rather than just to a limited portion of fans. One of the best ways to engage with the community is by offering unique NFTs related to specific events, and FIFA is doing this with people from all around the world.

At the same time, this is going to be, perhaps, one of the many other collections that FIFA is expected to launch in the future. The official announcement says that fans can join the community on social media and receive updates on future collections.

Romy Gai, FIFA Chief Business Officer, explained that fandom is currently changing and football fans around the world through new and exciting ways.

On that matter, he stated:

“This exciting announcement makes FIFA collectibles available to any football fan, democratising the ability to own a part of the FIFA World Cup. Just like sports memorabilia and stickers, this is an accessible opportunity for fans around the world to engage with their favourite players, moments and more on new platforms.”

The FIFA+ Collect will be released later this month and it will include a wide range of limited-edition collections. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for NFT lovers to pay attention to the solutions offered by FIFA+ Collect in the coming months.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) became very popular in 2021 when Bitcoin (BTC) and other virtual currencies reached all-time highs. This was a great and unique opportunity for investors to get access to a different side of the market that is not necessarily related to finances. It also represented a great opportunity for companies to offer their own NFTs and collections for the community to purchase.

A few days ago, we reported that Coca-Cola released a new series of NFT collectables on top of the Polygon network. The goal was to thank fans that have been part of the brand’s journey into the metaverse. As we can see, several companies are already working on better solutions for the NFT market by releasing their own collections.
