Tezos Co-Founder Talks About How the Project is Moving Ahead in the Market

Arthur Breitman, the Tezos project co-founder, talked about the path that the Tezos platform took since they launched the project to the market. In general, Breitman has a very low profile compared to other figures in the crypto space such as Changpeng Zhao or Justin Sun.

Arthur Breitman Talks About Tezos

Tezos is one of the most important virtual currencies in the market. Currently, it is the 18th largest with a market capitalization of $793 million dollars. The project was one of the most successful Initial Coin offerings (ICOs) during the last year. I was able to raise $232 million dollars.

Something important to mark is that Breitman is of French origin. About it, he said that he likes ‘low key’ since French people brag as little as possible.

On the matter, he said:

“I don’t like the whole big announcements thing. Some people don’t even know that Tezos is launched because everything was very low key. It’s a cultural thing, a very French thing. American culture is different. American culture is known for bragging, whereas in France, you brag as little as possible.”

However, launching Tezos to the market was not an easy task. The project was involved in some scandals and issues that harmed the community at some point. The other members of the team where Johann Gevers and Kathleen Breitman. Apparently, Gevers refused to disburse funds to developers. Additionally, he has also accused Arthur and Kathleen to harm the Tezos foundation.

As Breitman mentions, the project was about to collapse. The SEC labelled Tezos tokens as security and the whole proposal was at risk. During that time he admitted that they had several difficult moments. However, the development of Tezos did not suffer from that.

After all, Gevers stepped down accepting a severance fee of $400,00 dollars. After it, the project got back on track and the mainnet was launched in June to the market.

In order to work, the network uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. Moreover, nodes determine how the platform continues evolving in the market. Those interested in participating in the validation of transactions need to have 10,000 tokens.

Currently, users that want to buy Tezos (XTZ) coins can do it for $1.31 dollars. In the last 24 hours, the virtual currency operated stably.
