Gyndore is a Bitcoin liquidity protocol built on Base that uses $cbBTC as its only form of collateral. The protocol lets users borrow against their $cbBTC, mint a dollar-pegged token called $gynUSD, trade Bitcoin-denominated markets with concentrated liquidity, and earn yield from borrower interest and trading fees.
Status: Active (DropWave points campaign and Base Sepolia testnet both live)
Token confirmed: Yes, $GYND is confirmed for distribution at TGE (Token Generation Event)
Chain: Base (mainnet campaign), with a public testnet running on Base Sepolia
Reward mechanism: Chips (task-based) convert into Gynpoints, which set leaderboard position for the eventual $GYND distribution
Cost to participate: Free, no deposit or trade required
Two tokens sit behind the system: $GYND, the protocol’s fee and utility token, and $bGYND, used specifically for liquidity incentives and airdrop rewards, which is backed 1:1 by $GYND and can be staked or converted to $GYND at a discount. Right now, there are two ways to interact with Gyndore before mainnet lending and trading go live.
DropWave rewards Chips and Gynpoints for wallet and social activity, and those points are what count toward the $GYND airdrop. Separately, a public testnet on Base Sepolia lets anyone trial the protocol’s swaps, staking, and liquidity features using free test assets, with no confirmed points or token reward tied to that testing itself.
Am I Eligible for the Gyndore Airdrop?
Eligibility for Gynpoints centers on activity connected to a user’s wallet and X account after joining DropWave. Gyndore counts several categories toward Chips and Gynpoints, including prior Base network activity, social actions tied to a connected X account, holdings of supported assets, and ecosystem-specific tasks the project rotates in over time. There’s no minimum deposit or trade required to start earning, and connecting a wallet with no funds in it is enough to see which Chips are already available.
A personal referral link is generated automatically once a wallet and X account are both connected, and referral activity appears to factor into leaderboard position, though Gyndore has not published the exact weighting.
How to Participate in the Gyndore Airdrop
The process runs through Gyndore’s DropWave portal, with an optional stop on the Base Sepolia testnet to try the protocol itself. Each step below builds on the one before it.
- Connect your wallet. Open the Gyndore DropWave portal and connect an EVM-compatible wallet, then switch the wallet’s network to Base. The dashboard will show a Gynpoints balance and leaderboard rank only after this step.
- Link your X account. Select the option to connect an X account and authorize DropWave to access it. This step generates the personal referral link and unlocks the social-action category of Chips.
- Claim available Chips. Open the Chips section and filter by category (Ecosystem, General, or Social) to see which actions the wallet already qualifies for based on past Base activity or current holdings, then claim any that are already unlocked before completing new ones.
- Switch to the testnet. For a hands-on look at the protocol itself, switch the connected wallet to the Base Sepolia test network and open Gyndore’s public testnet. Base Sepolia ETH is available from a public faucet, and the testnet interface includes an option to mint test versions of $cbBTC, $USDC, $GYND, and $bGYND directly into the wallet.
- Try the core features. Use the minted test assets to try swaps, concentrated-liquidity positions, staking and unbonding $GYND or $bGYND, and the portfolio tracker. None of this activity involves real funds, and Gyndore has not confirmed whether testnet usage earns any additional Gynpoints or allocation.
Potential Risks in Participating in the Gyndore Airdrop
Farming Gynpoints through DropWave doesn’t require depositing real capital, which limits the direct financial risk of that part of the campaign. Still, a few risks apply before connecting anything.
Wallet and Social Account Permissions
Connecting a wallet to a new dApp and authorizing X access both carry the usual third-party permission risk. Use a wallet that isn’t holding meaningful funds for this kind of early-stage farming, and review exactly what access the X authorization requests before approving it.
Unconfirmed Conversion and Allocation Terms
Gyndore has confirmed that $GYND will be distributed at TGE and that Gynpoints will factor into that distribution, but it has not published a points-to-token conversion rate, a total allocation size, a snapshot date, or a claim process. Points earned today could translate into a meaningful allocation, a token amount, or nothing at all if the campaign’s final terms change before TGE.
Real Capital Only Applies Once Mainnet Launches
DropWave and the Base Sepolia testnet don’t require deposits. That changes once Gyndore’s mainnet lending and trading features go live, since borrowing against $cbBTC, minting $gynUSD, and providing concentrated liquidity all involve real collateral. Anyone planning to move from points farming into actual protocol use on mainnet should treat that as a separate decision with its own research, independent of anything earned through DropWave.

Frequently Asked Questions
Still deciding whether Gyndore is worth the time investment? These are the questions that come up most with new points-farming campaigns.
Is the Gyndore airdrop confirmed?
The $GYND token itself is confirmed for distribution at TGE, and Gyndore has stated that Gynpoints and Chips will shape a wallet’s position for that distribution. The exact allocation formula, snapshot date, and claim process have not been published.
Do I need to spend money to earn Gynpoints?
No deposit or trade is required to start. Chips are earned through wallet connection, X account linking, and completing listed tasks, and the Base Sepolia testnet used to trial the protocol runs entirely on free test assets.
What’s the difference between $GYND and $bGYND?
$GYND is Gyndore’s fee and utility token. $bGYND is used specifically for liquidity incentives, DropWave rewards, and airdrops, is backed 1:1 by $GYND, can be staked, and can convert to $GYND at a discount according to the litepaper.
Does testnet activity count toward the airdrop?
Gyndore has not confirmed that Base Sepolia testnet usage earns Gynpoints or any additional token allocation. Treat the testnet as a way to evaluate the protocol firsthand, not as a guaranteed points source.
