A new partnership between LibertyX and Genmega would allow users to buy Bitcoin in 100,000 locations in the United States. LibertyX is a Bitcoin ATM firm that offers the possibility for investors to buy virtual currencies via ATMs. Genmega, instead, is a regular ATM manufacturer. This information has been released in a press release a few days ago.
LibertyX and Genmega Partner to Improve Access to Virtual Currencies
According to the official release, consumers would only need their debit card to buy Bitcoin. In order to do so, Genmega ATM will enable LibertyX capabilities to start selling Bitcoin. This is very important since it would allow the population to have a wider access to virtual currencies.

Chris Yim, Co-Founder and CEO at LibertyX, said that they have been working five years to make that possible.
About it, he said:
“We have been working tirelessly to make it easier to buy cryptocurrencies for the last five years and now we are bringing simplicity, convenience and trust to the cryptocurrency purchasing experience through the timeless ATM.”
This would benefit consumers in the country, ATM operators and merchants as well. Users that do not know how to buy this virtual currency would now have an already known platform. The process is very similar to withdrawing cash from an ATM. Instead of dispensing cash, the machines will be giving Bitcoins.
Those who operate these ATMs will have an additional source of revenue. There will be thousands of new customers all over the country. Interested ATM operators are able to request an application at addlibertyx.com. Additionally, merchants can contact ATM operators if they want to add Bitcoin functionality.
LibertyX installed the first cash-to-bitcoin ATM in the United States in 2014. At the moment, there are 2331 Bitcoin ATMs in the United States, according to Coin ATM Radar. Around the world, there are 3900 Bitcoin ATMs in 77 different countries.
A few weeks ago, we wrote at UseTheBitcoin that Argentina and India were launching crypto ATMs. In India, Unocoin is in charge of the expansion. In Argentina, AthenaBitcoin and Odyssey Group are installing Bitcoin ATMs in different locations of Buenos Aires and other cities.
