Tari Labs, a South African startup, has unveiled a free online university called ‘Blockchain University’ that will aid local and international developers. The startup was developed and launched at the beginning of the year by Riccardo Spagni, a local blockchain expert and Monero promoter.
Spagni started the platform with the help of American investors; Dan Teree and Naiveen Jain.
Tari Labs Aims For More Blockchain Education Acccess
Tari Labs seeks to improve the endpoint experience of virtual assets such as digital collectibles, in-game items, loyalty points, concert tickets and other digitally scare commodities. Naiveen Jain believes that virtual assets present an excellent use case for the blockchain.
He adds that there is a chance of a frictionless experience. One that will allow users to store and transfer digital assets in line with rules that preset by their sellers.
The three founders of the Tari protocol decided to come up with the platform after they realized that none of the existing blockchain protocols were offering the solution that addressed the type of problems they had identified.
Now, they believe that the Blockchain University will create the next generation of open source developers and blockchain experts who will spread the Tari protocol even further.
Commenting about the new platform, Cayle Sharrock, a senior contributor on the project said:
“Tari Labs University aims to become a go-to destination for easily-accessible learning material for blockchain, digital currency and digital assets, from beginner to advanced level. The more blockchain experts we can develop, the better it is for the ecosystem as a whole.”
Sharrock adds that the university offers the most useful decentralized platform that can empower anyone to create digitally scare items that people will love. He sees the school as an avenue where developers will gain blockchain development skills that will help them use the Tari protocol.
“Tari Labs gives talented people the chance to develop their abilities. The Tari Labs University is a natural next step in sharing knowledge and learning from the community in turn. As with any open source project, we see the learning material as living or ever-evolving. The bigger picture here is to assist in constructing an ecosystem for developers and enable them to leverage the Tari protocol.”
The university will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
