XRP Labs is currently working to launch a new upgrade to the whole XRP ecosystem, more specifically, to the XRP Ledger. The goal is to improve and enhance the current services, which are allowing companies and banks around the world to move funds without having to be worried about cross-broder payments.Â
XRP Labs Plans Upgrade for XRP Ledger
XRP Labs is working on a new and large upgrade to the XRP Ledger that could bring several benefits to the current infrastructure built around XRP. In a recent report released by XUMM Wallet, they informed that the new implementation is expected to revamp the whole ecosystem and community in order to make sure that everyone is included.Â
It is worth taking into consideration that there are no details on what could be the upcoming upgrades. However, Wietse Wind, the CEO of XRPL Labs said:
“This is, without a doubt, the most monumental upgrade to the XRPL infrastructure since its inception, marking a pivotal movement in our pursuit of a healthier, sustainable XRP Ledger.”
Over the last few years, Ripple and the whole community have been working in order to create an ecosystem of companies and individuals that would be able to send and receive cross-border payments fast and without having to pay large fees for these services. Several banks have been working in order to adapt their services and implement XRP-linked solutions as well.Â
