Wietse Wind, the founder of the Ripple-backed company, XRPL Labs, created a bounty to push for XRP mass adoption. The developer created a bounty for any individual that would be able to create a plugin that integrates XRP with WooCommerce. Developers could receive more than 3,000 XRP for this.
Wietse Wind Starts 3,000 XRP Bounty for Developers
The Ripple ecosystem has several times been attacked for being centralized and controlled by Ripple. But there is a new initiative that aims at expanding XRP use cases around the world. Indeed, the intention is to reach 3.3 million stores.
Wietse Wind, a recognized contributor among the XRP community, is currently giving 3,000 XRP to a developer that builds a plugin integrating XRP with WooCommerce. The community was able to gather 3,000+ of XRP worth more than $900 which will be given to the individual that is able to create this plugin.

WooCommerce is one of the most popular payment platforms on the web. Indeed, it is currently used by over 3.3 million websites around the world. It also added a feature to integrate it with WordPress, which is one of the most used platforms to create websites online.
XRPL Labs is also working on a decentralized exchange (DEX) with the intention to reduce the dependency on centralized platforms. Moreover, they are also working on a mobile wallet and a cold crypto storage operating system.
Wietse Wind is known for developing the XRP Tip Bot that became very famous among the crypto community. XRP supporters use the bot at all times to tip other users on Twitter. At the same time, Ripple’s investment arm, Xpring has given an undisclosed amount of XRP to the company for Wietse Wind to work on different projects full time. He is also working with two other employees developing new solutions for XRP and Ripple.
A few days ago, Ripple donated $1 million to Tipping Point. The main intention behind this large donation is to fight against poverty in the Bay Area. Moreover, they are also going to be supporting organizations and initiatives that will expand financial inclusion around the world.
XRP is one of the largest digital currencies in the market. At the time of writing, XRP has a market capitalization of $12.97 billion. Each XRP can also be purchased for $0.31.
