USDG Stablecoin Support Added to Bitpace Platform

USDG stablecoin support went live on Bitpace on August 20, 2026, giving the crypto payment gateway’s merchant clients a regulated dollar-backed option for settling international invoices.

Anil Oncu, Bitpace’s chief executive officer, said the addition gives businesses another way to move money across borders without relying on traditional wire transfers. The integration targets merchants, payment service providers, brokers and real estate firms that regularly move funds across jurisdictions.

How the USDG Integration Works on Bitpace

Cross-border wire transfers often pass through several intermediary banks before funds settle, adding days and fees to the process. USDG is built to skip that chain by settling on a blockchain network while staying pegged to the US dollar, so businesses avoid the price swings tied to unbacked digital assets.

Bitpace handles the conversion and custody work behind the scenes, so merchants can accept USDG through their existing checkout flow instead of building separate liquidity or custody systems themselves, according to Bitpace’s August 20 announcement.

The move builds on infrastructure Bitpace already runs across more than 75 cryptocurrencies and 40 fiat currencies, the same announcement noted.

Why Merchants May Consider Bitpace’s USDG Option

For businesses that invoice international clients regularly, the appeal is fewer intermediaries and a faster settlement window. Real estate firms and brokers named in the announcement stand to gain the most, since large one-off payments are exactly where wire delays and foreign exchange costs add up.

The addition also fits a wider shift toward stablecoin rails for cross-border trade, a trend our crypto news hub has tracked in its breakdown of how stablecoins are speeding up international payments, where settlement that once took days was cut to minutes.

What Comes Next for Bitpace’s Stablecoin Lineup

Bitpace said it plans to keep expanding its supported asset list and treasury settlement tools as demand for blockchain payment options grows among commercial clients. No specific date has been set for the next addition. Businesses that want to test USDG settlement can review Bitpace’s technical documentation directly through the company.

What this means for you: If you run a business that pays or gets paid across borders, USDG on Bitpace is one more option worth comparing against your current wire transfer costs and wait times.
