Ron Paul Speaker At The Litecoin Summit

In a recent tweet, the Litecoin Foundation informed that Ron Paul will be talking at the Litecoin Summit in Las Vegas next month.

The Tweet reads:

“He’s a former congressman, presidential candidate, and literally wrote a book on ending the Fed. Don’t miss what crypto supporter @RonPaul has to say at the 2019 Litecoin Summit!”

Ron Paul has been defending Bitcoin (BTC) for a long period of time. The politician has been a strong critic of the fiscal policies in the United States and has also attacked the Federal Reserve.

In a recent conversation with CNBC, he said that he likes competing currencies because the government always want to have control over the market. Mr. Paul commented that he doesn’t know what will happen to cryptocurrencies but he considers that they are a great idea.

In the upcoming Litecoin Summit, several technical and business experts in the cryptocurrency space and other industries will be talking about Litecoin. Ron Paul is expected to talk about the influence of virtual currencies in the financial market and how governments are trying to discourage their usage.

Tim Draper, Mati Greenspan, and Nick Merten will also be present at the Summit.

Litecoin is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies in the market. According to CoinMarketCap, Litecoin is the 5th largest crypto after Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), XRP and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

During the first half of the current year, Litecoin experienced a rapid price increased that allowed it to reach its highest price in over a year, close to $140 per coin. However, a few weeks before its halving event on August 5, its price started to fall.

In terms of BTC, Liteocin fell under 0.0068 BTC per coin and it remains close to this price at the time of writing. A few days ago, the whole market fell by over 15% in just a few hours and Litecoin was not the exception.

Currently, each LTC can be purchased for $55.22 and it has a market capitalization of $3.5 billion.
