The attraction for CryptoKitties reached the NBA and one of its top stars, Stephen Curry. The basketball player has inked a deal in which he will become the first celebrity in feature its own CryptoKitty.
Stephen Curry Themed CryptoKitty
The NBA superstar Stephen Curry released three cat figures on the Ethereum-based app CryptoKitties. The partnership has been signed through Moji, Curry’s emoji app company. In this way, Golden State Warriors player will be linked to exclusive cats in the platform.
Mack Flavelle, co-founder of CryptoKitties said:
“Stephen is the perfect partner to try out this new kind of Kitty. He’s an incredible athlete, but also has a deep interest in technology and innovation.”
The first cat figure will be named “Steph Fur Three”, which went up for auction the past Monday. It is said that the Curry Cat could be one of the top transactions in the platform. Two of them will be related to Curry’s abilities and another will focus on his culinary side. This cat will be known as “Chef Furry.”
Chef Furry’s biography reads as follows:
“Hi” I’m Chef Furry! You might know me as a two-time MVP on the court, but I’m also runner up for MVP in the kitchen (I share the kitchen with my partner and she keeps me humble). Can you guess what my favourite dish is? If you said curry, paws for a second and ask yourself if I’ve heard that one before. You said my lady’s chicken parm, get out of my head!”
What is CryptoKitties
CryptoKitties is an Ethereum-based digital card game in which users can buy and sell cats with different attributes and features. The company behind this development is known as AxiomZen and it works between San Francisco and Vancouver.
Back in December, this platform captured the attention of several investors and crypto enthusiasts. Indeed, more than $12 million dollars have been spent so far in the platform and some cats have been sold for more than 200 ETH.
The platform is now ready to start receiving limited edition cats like the Stephen Curry ones.
