The Brave web browser continues to expand at very fast rates in the market. According to Brendan Eich, the co-founder and CEO of the platform, their user base is growing by 10% per month.

He said that a few days ago on Twitter while discussing how crypto projects are currently expanding.

Brave User Base Grows By 10% Monthly

Brave one of the privacy-focused and blockchain-based web browsers in the market is currently growing its user base at a rate of 10% per month.

Brendan Eich, the CEO of the platform explained that Brave is currently building a web browser for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology to reach mass adoption. He has also considered that only Brave is working in this direction compared to other projects.

The founder of VDT Network, Dean van Dugteren, answered that there are many projects in the cryptocurrency space that are working on providing a good user interface, including MakerDAO, Golem and Steemit, among others.

In terms of user growth and adoption, he agreed that Brave is among the top projects in the market. Nonetheless, Mr. van Dugteren mentioned that Brave Ads is a centralized service that doesn’t face the challenges of building a UX for something that is “truly decentralized.”

About it, Dean van Dugteren mentioned:

“I’m just saying it’s comparing apples to oranges when we’re talking about the adoption of a project that’s a centralized service with crypto payments against projects that are running on blockchain entirely.”

Eich answered that this is what other companies such as Binance are doing: creating a usable product first and decentralizing it later. Binance is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the market and it continues to expand its services.

Basic Attention Token and Brave Expansion

Brave is currently offering a privacy-based web browser that allows users in some jurisdictions to receive ads and get rewarded for their attention. Individuals receive Basic Attention Token (BAT) for the time they use to watch ads and engage with them.

UseTheBitcoin reported the last month that Brave became the most downloaded web browser for Android in Japan. The browser surpassed other recognized competitors such as Firefox or Free Adblocker Browser.

Although Brave continues to expand in the market at very fast rates, other browsers are still dominating the space. Brave is working to make cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology widely available.
