The important billionaire investor Marc Lasry seems to be very bullish on the future price of Bitcoin. He believes that the famous virtual currency is going to reach $40,000 in the next few years. There are several crypto experts that have positive thoughts about cryptocurrencies and their value.
Marc Lasry Bullish on BTC
Mr. Lasry, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Avenue Capital Group, has $9.6 billion dollars in assets under management. During a conversation at the ‘Squawk Box’ segment on CNBC on Wednesday, he said that he invested over 1 percent of his personal funds in Bitcoin. 
About it he explained:
“You are hoping that as it gets more into the mainstream, and as more markets end up allowing it to trade where it’s freely tradable, to me that’s more the market bet… I think you will have something that ends up being somewhere at $20,000 to $40,000.”
As reported by Forbes, Lasry has over $1.7 billion dollars. This is just one of the many famous and important investors that have decided to invest in the famous virtual currency.
“I like bitcoin because it’s the one that where everybody is going to come to,” he commented. He has also expressed that the price of Bitcoin will grow in the future if more Americans have access to it. During the last bull run at the end of the last year, the price of Bitcoin grew mostly because retail investors placed their money in the market. But in the future it is expected to grow even more with the help of institutional players.
An important thing to mention is that other individuals like John McAfee, are very bullish in the future of virtual currencies. Thomas Lee, Fundstrat Global co-founder, has predicted that Bitcoin will be reaching $25,000 dollars before 2019.
At the moment of writing this article, Bitcoin is being traded around $7,350 dollars and has a market capitalization of $126 billion dollars. In the last days, Bitcoin experienced an important surge on its price, moving from $6,700 to $7,400 in just a few minutes.
