John McAfee is a very active figure in the cryptocurrency market. He has been giving his opinions about specific Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), cryptocurrencies and companies. Now he is running for president of the United States in order to promote virtual currencies.
Some days ago, an unknown individual tried to intoxicate him and he spent two days at the Vidant Medical Center in North Carolina.
At the moment of writing this article, Bitcoin and most of the cryptocurrencies are operating positively. Indeed, Bitcoin is being traded 4,77% up in the last 24 hours and is being traded around $6,150 dollars, according to CoinMarketCap.
This is not the first time that McAfee is positive towards Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market in general. For example, he said that Bitcoin will hit $1 million dollars by 2020. In order to have this price at the end of the 2020, the price of Bitcoin should now be near $11,700 dollars, but it’s currently 50% down from that target.
Another important thing to mention is that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the US, threatened him not to keep talking about Initial Coin Offerings.
