ZCash (ZEC) has decided to offer better services by increasing the number of wallets offering shielded transactions. As the cryptocurrency market grows, individuals are also searching for better privacy options. ZCash is one of the cryptocurrencies that offers improved privacy to users.
ZCsah Offer Enhanced Privacy
Cryptocurrencies are expanding all over the world. There are more crypto ATMs, more shops and retail stores accepting virtual currencies. At the same time, companies that work in the virtual currency space are also starting to offer better services to their customers by supporting a wider range of digital assets.
The world is also being affected by the fact that companies are requesting more and more data from users. This is why privacy coins will be playing an important role in protecting users’ information.
ZCash offers different kinds of transactions. It is possible to use transparent, shielding, deshielding and shielded transactions. The best privacy can be achieved with shielded transactions. With the Sapling upgrade implemented by ZCash, users can now have shielded transactions directly on their mobile phones.
Although Ledger and Trezor use transparent addresses, the user remains the owner of its private keys at all times. Coinbase, for example, supports transparent addresses but it could soon add support to shielded ZCash withdrawals.
There are some options that allow users to keep control over their transactions. Hardware wallets are very effective, as mentioned before. They offer enhanced security. But privacy features are an issue. This is why there are third-party wallets that run the Zcash client and a full network node in a computer.
Some of these wallets that offer better privacy features are WinZEC, zec-qt or ZECmate, among others. Mac user might also use Kozylmaz. WinZEC has already implemented the Sapling upgrade, allowing it to perform private transactions in an easy way.
Those users that do not need enhanced privacy can always use other wallet providers such as Cryptonator, Bitgo, Jaxx or Exodus.
There are other privacy coins in the market such as Monero (XMR) or Bitcoin Private (BTCP). Monero is perhaps the most popular virtual currency that offers more privacy to users. During 2018, several digital assets such as TRON (TRX) or Litecoin( LTC) announced that they were interested in developing new privacy options for their virtual currencies.
