Arab Global Crypto Exchange, or AGCX, plans to begin trading on September 10, offering direct UAE dirham deposits and several crypto services through its web and mobile platforms.
The Abu Dhabi-based company is positioning the exchange as a locally regulated alternative to offshore platforms that lack native AED support.
Its launch announcement says verified UAE residents and eligible users in supported jurisdictions will be able to access the platform, joining a growing list of exchanges competing to serve Gulf-region crypto users through regulated, fiat-native infrastructure rather than routing users through international platforms designed primarily for other markets.
What AGCX Is Actually Launching
According to the September 8 launch announcement, users will be able to deposit AED through UAE bank transfers and complete digital identity verification before accessing the platform’s trading products.
AGCX also plans to support spot, futures, and options trading across major digital-asset pairs, markets explained in more depth in this crypto futures trading for beginners guide and crypto options trading guide, since both carry meaningfully different risk profiles than simple spot buying and selling.
Other announced services include staking and access to selected token launches, though specific staking yields, lock-up terms, and which tokens will be available at launch were not detailed in the announcement.

The zero-fee claim applies specifically to AGCX’s platform charges for crypto deposits and withdrawals. It does not necessarily mean every transfer will be free. Blockchain network fees, banking costs, trading fees, spreads, and other third-party charges may still apply. The announcement did not publish a complete fee schedule.
AGCX summarized the planned launch through its official X account:
Why Native AED Support Matters Here
Native AED support could reduce the need to convert dirhams into another currency before using a crypto exchange, a friction point that has pushed many UAE residents toward international platforms or peer-to-peer arrangements in the past.
Direct bank transfers may also create clearer transaction records than payment routes involving multiple platforms or intermediaries, a consideration that applies just as much to derivatives trading as it does to simple spot purchases.
AGCX says it operates under a licence from the UAE Capital Markets Authority, formerly known as the Securities and Commodities Authority. The announcement also says its onboarding, transaction monitoring, and custody procedures are designed around applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements, positioning the exchange as a compliance-forward alternative to platforms operating without local licensing.
A trading-platform licence should not be treated as a guarantee against losses or operational problems. Users must still consider asset custody, withdrawal reliability, liquidity, market volatility, and the exact permissions covered by the operator’s licence.
This matters even more for the futures and options products AGCX plans to offer, since leveraged derivatives carry additional risks beyond those of straightforward spot trading, including the possibility of losses exceeding an initial deposit depending on the position size and leverage used. Access may also depend on age, identity verification, residence, and local restrictions.
What to Watch After Trading Begins
The September 10 opening will show whether AGCX launches with all the advertised markets and services available immediately. Its full fee schedule, supported assets, trading liquidity, bank-transfer processing times, withdrawal limits, and custody arrangements will be important details to examine after trading begins.
What this means for you: If you’re a UAE resident looking for a locally regulated exchange with direct AED support, AGCX’s September 10 launch is worth watching, though the zero-fee claim applies only to platform-level crypto transfers, and the full fee schedule, supported assets, and actual liquidity won’t be clear until trading goes live.
This is not financial advice. Crypto trading, derivatives, staking, and token launches involve market, custody, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks.
