The Exodus phone, the popular crypto smartphone released by HTC could help Basic Attention Token (BAT) to find new users. BAT is the cryptocurrency used on the Brave browser. This happens because the new Brave browser is the default one on the smartphone. The information was released by Brendan Eich, the CEO of BAT on Twitter.
BAT Could be Embraced by New Users
BAT is a virtual currency that users in the Brave browser receive for their attention and for sharing their data with advertisers. At the moment, this virtual currency can be used only on the Brave platform and browser. In a recent tweet uploaded by Brendan Eich, he mentioned that they are very happy to be working with HTC and the Exodus phone.
The Brave browser has been selected as the default one in the smartphone. This would allow new users to start using the new BAT token.

The Exodus 1 is a smartphone released by HTC that is the first one specifically designed for crypto and blockchain users. It has a 6-inch display and it runs Android 8.1. At the same time, it offers a wide range of blockchain and crypto features that were built into the phone.
For example, the smartphone is a node on the blockchain network developed by HTC. Furthermore, it allows users to securely store and trade their virtual currencies. The main virtual currency supported are Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC). ERC-721 coins are also supported by the smartphone.
The phone designer and chief decentralization officer, Phil Chen, mentioned that there might be a low-end smartphone available in the future. The company decided to create this high-end telephone in order to test the concept. The purpose of the phone is to target up to 2 billion individuals around the world.
The phone is currently being sold for $1,000 and it can be bought with virtual currencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.
Brave has around 3.1 million users on its platform. With the Exodus 1 phone, new individuals will be using the Brave browser almost every single day. This could help Basic Attention Token increase its presence in the market after being listed by Coinbase on its platform.
At the time of writing this article, Basic Attention Token is the 30th largest virtual currency. It has a market capitalization of $172 million and each BAT can be purchased for $0.145.
