Best Crypto Tools (2026): Free and Paid Tools for Investors and Traders

Crypto Tools

Key Takeaways

  • When we say “crypto tools,” what we mean is a list of products and services investors and traders use in order to build, monitor, and manage their crypto assets.
  • The crypto market moves very fast, and the difference between keeping up and falling behind can come down to the tools you actually use.
  • Investors are very different in all walks of life, and neither are crypto tools, so you need to find the right ones to manage your portfolio.

The crypto market in 2026 is no longer just about holding assets and letting them sit for the long term; it is now about data gathering and intelligence.

After testing over a hundred platforms over my nine years in the crypto space, I have curated the top crypto analysis platforms in order to help you get a better shot and acquire more opportunities in the Web3 industry.

Whether you are a day trader who needs market analysis or a crypto market analyst drowning in raw, unorganized data, this list has a solution for you.

Portfolio trackers

If your crypto assets are spread across different exchanges, DeFi platforms and hardware or software wallets, you need a portfolio tracker that unifies that segregated data into one application. Here are some of the best portfolio trackers.

CoinStats

image 175

CoinStats supports 300+ platforms, so you don’t have to worry if your assets are on a not-so-popular platform since the leading crypto tracker today can pull that data into its platform.

Delta by eToro

image 172

If you want a portfolio tracker made by one of the most famous investment platforms in traditional finance (TradFi), you can actually use eToro’s portfolio tracker called Delta.

And since crypto has been merging with TradFi this year, I think crypto investors may have also mixed in some commodities and equities (stocks) into their portfolios, and what better way to manage them than through Delta, which also has a separate portfolio tracker for each asset class.

CoinGecko

image 173

If you are really an OG in the space, then you would not miss CoinGecko for anything. CoinGecko has earned its reputation as an independent crypto data aggregator over the years in the industry, and it certainly earned its place on our portfolio trackers list.

Charting and trading tools

A chart is a trader’s best friend. Even if you are not into trading, you will still need these charting and trading platforms to quickly check crypto prices in order to stay ahead in the industry.

TradingView

image 176

If you have not heard of TradingView, then you have been living under a rock. If you do not have one yet, I recommend bookmarking it right now in your browser and start creating an account for free. Trust me when I say that if you plan to make it in this industry, you will need TradingView in your arsenal.

MultiCharts

image 174

If you want an AI assistant helping you with the charts, MultiCharts can give you that capability, as they are now integrating AI into their platform. With AI, you can explore available tools on MultiCharts, monitor real-time data, and check orders and positions.

Notably, TradingView also has AI but it’s not really involved in the charting process unless users really opt for it. So if you want an AI-integrated platform, MultiCharts can be that platform for you.

StockCharts

image 177

Now, if you are an old-school guy who wants a trading interface that still feels like it’s from the 2000s, StockCharts is probably the platform to try. I’m even surprised that I can look at a Bitcoin chart in retro style!

On-chain and wallet trackers

Tracking and analyzing top crypto wallets can give you insights into the crypto market. You might even see how whales move their money, and you will want that information to trade the trend and benefit from it.

DeBank

image 178

In DeBank, if you don’t have any whale wallets saved yet and you want to find them on the platform, just go to “More” and click “Web3 Social Ranking.” From there, you will find whales with millions in net worth and how they are doing with their assets.

Arkham Intelligence

image 183

On Arkham Intelligence, it’s very easy to find someone on the platform as long as they are a Key Opinion Leader, or KOL.

For example, if you want to find Arthur Hayes’ wallet, you can just type in his name and it will pop out on the platform along with his holdings and most recent transactions.

Bubblemaps

image 179

If you want interactive and cute visuals, then Bubblemaps is your go-to platform. It lets you see the representation of ownership of the wallets for each project.

For example, if you pull up the crypto token ‘dogwifhat’, you will see a lot of bubbles representing the size of that ownership. You will also see which token is associated with the larger bubble, and it will be shown as tiny bubbles following that larger bubble.

Crypto tax tools

Tax season is almost coming up and you will need good crypto tax platforms to calculate taxes for you.

Koinly

image 180

In order for Koinly to calculate your tax liability, you only need to import all your transactions into the platform. All you have to do to get started is connect all the crypto exchanges and wallets you use by providing their API keys, and it will handle everything else for you automatically.

TokenTax

image 187

Token Tax works with every crypto exchange by pulling your data and generating all the forms you need to file your taxes correctly and confidently.

Notably, being a paid platform, it works in almost all countries. You can even sit back and relax knowing your crypto taxes are being done right.

CoinLedger

image 181

CoinLedger earned its place among the top crypto tax tools on this list by doing the basics very well through an easy account setup, accurate imports, and a clean report at the end. The free portfolio tracking is already a good reason enough to create an account today. And when filing time comes, the paid reports cost only a fraction of what an accountant would charge for the same data.

Security tools

We need all the protection and security we can get to survive in this industry. Web3 is full of scams and bad actors, and we have got to be prepared to fight them all.

Token Sniffer

image 182

If you are trading memecoins, then Token Sniffer is for you. All you need to do is paste the contract address (CA) into the website and it’s going to give you a full list and breakdown of the contract, any red flags that you need to know about, and the full details on the contract safety.

Revoke.cash

image 193

Revoke.cash is a great tool for anybody who is using DeFi or buying and selling NFTs, because when you sign a contract, quite often you give a contract access to spend your funds, and sometimes this is unlimited access to spend your funds. And so, if somebody hacks that contract, things may go wrong and can cause problems.

It’s quite common to see these sorts of contracts signed when you are using a DEX, but you should never give somebody access to spend all of any particular coin or token that you are holding in your wallet.

Wallet Guard

image 185

Wallet Guard acts like a background extension of your Web3 wallet on your personal computer and protects you from scams and phishing attempts whenever you are about to hit that sign button. Basically, it acts like a double-checker, verifying everything before you accept anything.

Alerts and news tools

Crypto news comes in fast and it’s hard to keep up in real time. The trick is to follow news aggregators that send headline-style alerts, so you stay updated on what’s happening in the industry even if you are not reading the whole thing. Here are some crypto news aggregators to follow.

CryptoPanic

image 188

CryptoPanic helps you find the latest news that may explain why a coin is going up or down. Notably, clicking a specific news item will redirect you to the main page of the news source.

Watcher Guru

image 186

You are not serious about getting into crypto if you have not followed Watcher Guru yet. It’s a must-have in order to get caught up with the latest developments in the space.

Unfolded.

image 191

Unfolded, may be my favorite crypto news aggregator in my Telegram chats because it sources news with an AI comment, meaning AI will summarize the content for you.

If you have Telegram, I recommend subscribing to it for free. They also have a DeFi version of the news aggregator as well, called Unfolded. DeFi.

DeFi analytics

Last on the list are DeFi analytics platforms. They turn raw on-chain data into something that’s readable so that market analysts are able to organize and present data very well.

DeFiLlama

image 192

On a high level, DeFiLlama is basically a one-stop-shop dashboard that curates all of the data for all of the different protocols that operate in the DeFi space. Also, if you are tracking total value locked (TVL) on a specific DeFi protocol or network, then DeFiLlama is the best place to go.

Dune Analytics

image 190

Anyone from casual enthusiasts to professional data scientists can create beautiful dashboards on Dune Analytics. As an onchain data platform, it usually focuses on blockchain analytics by collecting the information directly from blockchain networks and turning it into human-readable data.

RWA.xyz

image 189

In 2025, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink called for tokenization as the endgame of finance, and it will be inevitable. Fast forward to today, most crypto exchanges are now offering tokenized products of traditional assets like stocks and commodities.

This is why I added RWA.xyz to the list because inevitably, we will be studying traditional assets being tokenized onchain in the foreseeable future.

How we picked them

We picked these platforms based on their years of service and popularity in the Web3 industry. We can safely say that these platforms have earned their right to be on this list. We do not add platforms to this list randomly just to fill a quota; we think it should be used by people who need it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the most common questions regarding crypto tools for investors and traders.

Should I try all the platforms listed here?

By all means, try it all if you can! But seriously, for each category, you only need around one or two platforms to stick with you for the long term. The average person uses only two to five of the best crypto research tools and platforms in his/her daily routine.

Are crypto portfolio trackers safe to use?

Yes, they are safe as long as they are reputable and only require your public wallet address for monitoring. Never share private keys or seed phrases with anyone.

How do onchain trackers differ from traditional crypto portfolio trackers?

Onchain trackers pull data directly from blockchains. Meanwhile, traditional trackers rely on the crypto exchange’s API keys for connection.
