Cryptocurrency Youtuber Launches Bitcoin TV Series on CBS

The craziness for cryptocurrencies arrived to traditional TV pushed by youtubers. Jason Appleton, a youtuber and crypto investor will be launching his own television series fully paid for by bitcoin. There is an increased interest in people for virtual currencies and that can be demonstrated by traditional TV broadcasting crypto-related programs.

Cryptocurrency Show on TV

Back on Monday, the crypto youtuber Jason Appleton announced that he is launching a bitcoin television series on CBS, the CW and Roku. The show will be delivered to over 47 million homes in the United States.


The announcement reads as follows:

“This will be the first time a cryptocurrency youtuber has launched their own television series fully paid for by bitcoin. All promotional sponsors, features and the like are paid by bitcoin.”

It is important to mention that CBS, flagship property of CBS Corporation, is one of the most important commercial broadcast television networks in the United States with ABC and NBC. At the moment of writing this article, Crypto Crow has 73,062 followers on YouTube and the number could see a massive increase in the coming months once the TV show starts.

Appleton will be working on 13 episodes of the Crypto Crow Show. The first season would start around June the 25th on the CBS New York WLNY network, which serves over 7.3 million homes.

“Each episode will feature educational information focused on helping newcomers to the crypto space such as researching, investing and how to stay secure in their efforts while featuring ICO and cryptocurrency companies and how they affect the industry,” the announcement explains.

Cryptocurrency shows are gaining popularity everywhere in the world. But TV shows are also embracing crypto-related content. Some days ago, a Reddit user uploaded a video of the the Silicon Valley TV Series – one of the most popular TV shows in the US – in which they mention cryptocurrencies. Moreover, Showtime’s Billions has also featured a Ledger Nano S wallet.

Other important TV shows like The Big Bang Theory or Designated Survivor have dedicated part of their chapters to cover topics related to cryptocurrencies.
