Chainers is an ambitious project that is creating a blockchain-based virtual world where users own their in-game items as NFTs. Chainers strives to create a metaverse game where the player drives the world, with an emphasis on NFTs and a community-driven DAO. Chainers also provides you with a metaverse in which you can do anything you want. You can explore different virtual worlds, play games to earn money, and even build your own collection of NFTs.
Status (October 2026): Chainers is live as a free-to-start browser game built around a farm, mini-games and daily missions. It runs on Chainers Chain, its own sidechain built with Polygon Edge, not on Solana. The bigger MMO, Chainers Universe, is postponed, and the player marketplace is still in planning, according to the Chainers docs.

What Makes Chainers Unique?

Chainers stands out because it is free to start: you don’t need an NFT avatar to play or to earn rewards, and the game runs in your browser with a custodial Chainers wallet. Owning an avatar unlocks new features in the game, including mini-games, special rewards, and the ability to own land and property.
The original plan included property called Spaces, where owners would customize their land and earn tokens from a shared pool for each visitor. Houses and personal land now belong to Chainers Universe, which is postponed, so Spaces are not part of the live game.

This guide is here to help you understand Chainers and what the game is all about. By following the guide, you should get started without trouble and interact with various features of this NFT game with ease. But before we get started, if NFTs sound like a foreign concept, feel free to check out our comprehensive guide on NFTs here. This other one will teach you everything you need to know about how to sell NFTs.
What Type Of Game Is Chainers?
Chainers mixes a farming game with mini-games and events. On Chainer’s Farm you grow plants and raise animals, then send your harvest to reward pools. The mini-games include a top-down shooter, Chainer’s Dreams, plus Atom Caster and Roll’n’Snow, and there are tournaments, leaderboards, daily missions and a Season Pass. Earn in-game currency to unlock new features and buy items while showing off to other players.
- Craft items, and customize your character and house to express your individuality and creativity.
- Unlock new gameplay activities and increase your wealth
- Compete with friends in various multiplayer games

Storyline
The Chainers have sent 11,111 alien avatars to the planet Earth. They were brave enough to make their escape from the world of their birth, where they were not allowed to be themselves or have freedom, to a new world where they could be unique and free.

What Is Chainers Unique Selling Point (USP)?
Chainers is a free-to-play game and you don’t need to purchase an NFT avatar to participate in metaverse games. Anyone can participate in games and stand a chance of winning rewards. A player marketplace for selling items is still listed as planned. The game is live, and every account gets a custodial Chainers wallet, so you can play in your browser without downloading any software or connecting a MetaMask wallet.
Roadmap
Chainers posts its roadmap as an image in its docs. If you want to learn more about the game you can check it out here.
What Is Chainers Use-Case?
Chainers is a colorful, voxel-style world that runs in the browser on its own Polygon-based chain, and anyone can start playing for free. If you are interested in exploring the NFT metaverse, you can find a rich set of gameplay features, collectorship opportunities, and play-to-earn experiences in the next generation of blockchain games. With a strong social component and development mechanism based on DAO, all of this is possible.
What Is Chainers Monetization Strategy?
Chainers monetizes the game by selling in-game items in its shop, where you can pay with crypto or by card through TokenStorm, and NFT avatars that unlock extra features. Players can earn POL or BNB from the farm’s reward pools, plus $CFB, the main in-game reward, which cannot leave the game.
In the game, you can craft most of the game’s assets, own unique assets as non-fungible tokens, farm resources, and use editing tools to create community-based assets. You can create communities with your own crafting gameplay, flex your assets and receive rewards for that, or compete in various games. Make decisions about what gets developed next, meet new friends, control the quality of content created by other users, and many other things.
What Is Chainers Tokenomics?
Chainers’ token plans have changed since launch. The old $CHU token on Polygon was delisted from Uniswap on December 5, 2023, and holders could swap it for Chainers Fidelity Bonds ($CFB). $CFB is now the main in-game reward, but it cannot be moved to an outside wallet. A new $CHU is planned, but Chainers cancelled its token sale after technical problems on the launchpad, promised full refunds and has not set a new date. ChainCoin ($CCC), meant for DAO voting, is still in planning and cannot be withdrawn. What you can withdraw is POL or BNB won from the farm’s reward pools, with minimums of 50 POL or 0.016 BNB, and withdrawals can take up to seven business days (Chainers docs).
By Chainers’ own figures, rewards are small: its website says it has more than 1 million players and has paid out more than $200,000 in total player rewards, about 20 cents per player on average.
Who Is The Team Behind Chainers?
The Chainers team is non-doxxed, which means the information about them is not available to the public. The official website claims the Chainers team comprises enthusiastic, creative, and experienced individuals regarding web3 games. The full list can be seen here.

Who Are The Partners Behind Chainers?
Chainers lists Immutable as a partner. Players could sign in to Chainers with Immutable Passport, and Chainers says the collaboration is “coming back soon.” A partnership with the Kgen community is also listed as coming soon.
What Was Chainers Release Date?
Chainers is already live as a free-to-start browser game. Its larger MMO, Chainers Universe, is postponed with no new date, so check its website or follow its social media accounts for updates.
When Was Chainers Pre-Sale?
Chainers’ current docs do not mention a whitelist or NFT pre-sale. In-game items are sold in the Chainers shop, where you can pay with crypto or by card through TokenStorm. The $CHU token sale was cancelled, as described in the tokenomics section above.
Where Chainers Goes From Here
Chainers is one of many blockchain-based games. It is now live as a browser game, but its MMO, its marketplace and the new $CHU token are still on hold. That concludes our overview of the game. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments section at the end of this guide, and we’ll do our best to respond quickly.
