XRP is trading around $1.50 to $1.51 on October 1 after recovering from a recent dip toward $1.48 and entering Q4 inside a tight consolidation range.
The immediate technical picture remains balanced as XRP has held the broader recovery from September’s $1.25 to $1.27 area, but buyers still need to reclaim $1.55 before challenging the heavier $1.60 to $1.70 resistance zone.
At the same time, softer US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) inflation, continued exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows and increased activity from large XRP holders are providing support beneath the market.
XRP Holds $1.50 After Recovering From $1.48
XRP entered October near the middle of its recent trading range rather than at either extreme.
After reaching approximately $1.65 during the September rally, XRP pulled back toward $1.48 before recovering around $1.50.
Recent trading has repeatedly centered around $1.48 to $1.55, making that the immediate range to watch.
The $1.48 to $1.50 area now acts as first support. Holding it would keep XRP positioned for another attempt at $1.55.
A clean move through $1.55 would then shift attention toward $1.60, followed by the broader $1.60 to $1.70 supply zone that has repeatedly attracted sellers.
If $1.48 fails, support around $1.42 to $1.45 becomes more important. Below that, the larger September demand area sits around $1.25 to $1.32.
| XRP Level | Role |
| $1.55 | Immediate resistance |
| $1.60-$1.65 | Major short-term resistance |
| $1.70 | Higher resistance/breakout level |
| $1.48-$1.50 | Immediate support |
| $1.42-$1.45 | Secondary support |
| $1.25-$1.32 | Major daily support |
Table 1. XRP Key Support and Resistance Levels
$1.55 Is the First Level Buyers Need to Reclaim

XRP’s first technical hurdle sits at approximately $1.55. That level has repeatedly limited upside during the latest consolidation. A sustained move above it would improve the short-term structure and put $1.60 back in focus.
The more difficult resistance remains between $1.60 and $1.65.
XRP reached roughly $1.65 during September before sellers pushed the price back toward $1.50, making the area an important test of whether the current consolidation can turn into another leg higher.
A stronger breakout above $1.65 to $1.70 would shift attention toward $1.75 to $1.80.
Targets such as $2.00 or $2.20 remain dependent on XRP first clearing and holding above the current resistance structure.
Softer PCE Inflation Reduces Some Macro Pressure
The latest inflation data gave XRP and the broader crypto market some macro relief.
Annual PCE inflation came in at 3.4%, below the cited market forecast, while expectations for another Federal Reserve rate increase in October declined after the release.

XRP recovered from an intraday low around $1.48 toward roughly $1.52.
The move was modest rather than a breakout, suggesting softer inflation is helping the broader risk environment, but XRP still needs enough direct buying pressure to overcome the technical resistance around $1.55 and $1.60.
XRP ETF Inflows Continue to Add Demand
US spot XRP ETFs remain one of the clearer sources of demand entering Q4.

Recent data showed cumulative net inflows near $1.79 billion, including about $75.59 million across four sessions last week.
Another roughly $3.96 million reportedly entered on September 29.
ETF inflows do not guarantee that XRP will rise, but they provide a measurable source of buying that can help absorb available supply.
That becomes especially important near $1.60 to $1.70, where XRP has repeatedly struggled to hold gains.
The next question is whether ETF demand remains strong enough as XRP retests those higher resistance levels, as the XRP ETF daily flows on September 30 ended in red as October 1 begins.
Large XRP Holders Continue Accumulating
Large-holder balances have also increased during the recent recovery.
Recent onchain data showed balances among a tracked group of large wallets rising from about 12.37 billion XRP to 12.80 billion XRP, an increase of more than 470 million XRP, worth roughly $724 million at reported prices.
High-value network activity also increased, with 1,917 transactions worth at least $100,000 recorded during the measured period.
Those figures show increased activity among large wallets, but they do not identify the owners of those addresses or prove that the buying came from institutions.
The more useful signal is that large-holder balances increased while XRP remained below its main resistance zone.
October Escrow Release Adds Another Supply Variable
XRP also begins October with Ripple’s regular escrow release in focus.
Up to 1 billion XRP can be unlocked on October 1 under Ripple’s established monthly escrow schedule.
That headline number should not be treated as 1 billion XRP immediately entering circulation.
Ripple has historically returned a portion of unused XRP back into escrow after monthly releases.
The amount actually retained, transferred or sold is therefore more relevant than the gross unlock figure.
The scheduled release remains a supply factor worth monitoring, particularly while XRP trades near support and tries to build enough demand for another push toward $1.60.
$1.60 to $1.70 Remains the Main Breakout Zone
XRP’s larger technical challenge remains unchanged. The token needs to clear $1.60 to $1.70 before the current recovery becomes a more convincing Q4 breakout.
A sustained move through $1.60 would be the first improvement.
Clearing the September high around $1.65 and then establishing support above $1.70 would further strengthen the setup, potentially shifting attention toward $1.75 to $1.80.
Until then, XRP remains inside the same broad structure that has kept buyers and sellers balanced around $1.50.
| Scenario | What Would Support It | Levels to Watch |
| Bullish Case | XRP holds $1.48-$1.50 and breaks above $1.55 | $1.60-$1.65, then $1.70 |
| Base Case | XRP remains above $1.48 but cannot clear $1.55-$1.60 | $1.48-$1.60 consolidation |
| Bearish Case | XRP loses $1.48 and then $1.42-$1.45 | $1.40, then $1.25-$1.32 |
Table 2. XRP Bullish, Base and Bearish Scenarios
Bottom Line
XRP begins Q4 around $1.50, sitting almost directly between its immediate support and resistance levels.
The first area buyers need to defend is $1.48 to $1.50. Holding that zone keeps another attempt at $1.55 in play.
Above $1.55, XRP still faces the more difficult $1.60 to $1.65 resistance area, followed by $1.70.
On the downside, a drop to $1.48 would expose $1.42 to $1.45. A deeper breakdown would bring the larger $1.25 to $1.32 support zone back into play.
For now, Q4 begins with XRP consolidating around $1.50 and waiting for either a break above $1.55 or a loss of $1.48 to establish the next short-term direction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Need a refresher? Here are the questions most readers ask about XRP’s current price setup.
What Is XRP’s Main Support Right Now?
Immediate support sits around $1.48 to $1.50. A break below that zone would put $1.42 to $1.45 in focus, followed by the larger $1.25 to $1.32 support region.
What Is XRP’s Main Resistance?
The first resistance is near $1.55. Above that, XRP faces heavier supply between $1.60 and $1.70, which remains the main breakout zone entering Q4.
Are XRP ETF Flows Still Positive?
Recent data showed cumulative US spot XRP ETF inflows around $1.79 billion, including $75.59 million across four sessions during the previous week and another roughly $3.96 million on September 29.
Is Ripple Releasing 1 Billion XRP in October?
Ripple can release up to 1 billion XRP from escrow under its regular monthly schedule, but that doesn’t mean the full amount enters circulation. Unused XRP can return unused XRP to escrow.
Could XRP Reach $1.70 in October?
XRP would first need to defend the $1.48 to $1.50 support area and break through $1.55, $1.60 and the recent $1.65 high. A sustained move through the $1.60 to $1.70 resistance zone would strengthen the case for higher levels.
