Centrifuge and LI.FI Partner to Expand Cross-Chain Access to Tokenized Assets

Centrifuge and LI.FI announced a partnership on August 31, 2026 aimed at making tokenized assets easier to discover, access, and use across different blockchain networks.

Centrifuge is a tokenization and onchain asset management platform with more than $1.6 billion in assets under management, while LI.FI is a liquidity orchestration platform powering more than 1,000 integrations across the crypto industry.

Why This Partnership Exists

Tokenized assets already live onchain, but capital remains fragmented across different networks, wallets, and applications, which limits how easily investors can reach them, according to Centrifuge’s announcement of the partnership. The two companies are addressing that fragmentation across three parts of the asset lifecycle: distribution, access, and liquidity.

On distribution, Centrifuge’s deRWA tokens will become discoverable through consumer-facing applications like Jumper via LI.FI’s routing infrastructure, and the same setup can extend support across other wallets, trading apps, and fintechs that already integrate with LI.FI.

How the Cross-Chain Access Actually Works

The partnership connects Centrifuge’s tokenized fund infrastructure with LI.FI’s orchestration layer, so users can start with assets they already hold on a different chain while LI.FI handles the swaps, bridging, and routing needed to reach a Centrifuge product in the background.

That creates two ways to access Centrifuge assets: investing directly into a Centrifuge vault without first manually moving capital into the specific deposit asset and blockchain required, or acquiring a transferable deRWA token representing a Centrifuge fund starting from whatever supported asset a user already holds.

Centrifuge’s Chief Strategy and Growth Officer said the opportunity in tokenization extends well beyond simply bringing assets onchain, framing the LI.FI partnership as building the distribution, liquidity, and infrastructure layer needed for those assets to move across onchain markets, a step forward in the broader crosschain movement reshaping how blockchain networks interact.

Solving the Redemption Timing Problem

deRWA tokens move on blockchain rails, but the financial assets they represent still follow traditional settlement cycles, meaning a redemption can take a day or longer to complete. That creates a mismatch with onchain markets that operate continuously and where users expect liquidity on demand.

Centrifuge and LI.FI are addressing that gap using LI.FI Intents, a system LI.FI describes on its RWA product page as giving institutions optimized routing for tokenized treasuries, money market funds, and real-world assets across more than 60 chains.

Under this setup, market makers can provide users the asset they want upfront in exchange for their deRWA tokens, taking on the underlying redemption and settlement process themselves rather than making the user wait.

Philipp Zentner, CEO and Co-Founder of LI.FI, said tokenized real-world assets need to be accessible everywhere to reach mainstream onchain adoption, and framed the partnership as making RWAs easier to access wherever users already are through LI.FI’s orchestration system and distribution network.

For readers tracking how tokenized asset platforms are solving cross-chain fragmentation, this partnership is worth following alongside broader crypto news, since interoperability between tokenization platforms and liquidity routing infrastructure is becoming a common theme as more real-world assets move onchain.

What this means for you: If you’ve been curious about tokenized real-world assets but found cross-chain complexity a barrier, this partnership is designed to let you start from an asset you already hold on whatever chain you’re using, rather than requiring you to first figure out the specific chain and token needed to access a Centrifuge product.

This is not financial advice. Tokenized real-world assets carry risks including settlement delays, smart contract risk, and liquidity constraints, so review the specific product’s terms before investing.
