What Is Arweave Philippines?
Arweave Philippines is a community of developers focused on promoting and supporting permanent data storage solutions using the Arweave (AR) network.
“Arweave Philippines is a builder community focused on building the Arweave network here in the Philippines,” Theo Roque, the Country Lead and Dev Mentor of Arweave Philippines, told UseTheBitcoin during the Cebu Blockchain Conference 2025.
The community is also actively involved in organizing workshops, hackathons, and educational programs to foster the development and adoption of blockchain technology, particularly the Arweave ecosystem within the country. As Roque highlighted:
“In the past six months, Arweave Philippines has conducted many workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, and bounties for developers and creators alike. So, our focus now is to onboard more developers and creatives to build on top of the Arweave network and AO.”
Current Initiatives Arweave Philippines Is Working On
Roque explains that they have been nurturing the community by engaging developers and creatives actively working on projects within the Arweave ecosystem.
Notably, the response to these efforts has been positive, as evidenced by the growing participation in hackathons, the development of new projects, and the expansion of the community across different geographical areas within the country.
Moreover, Roque also mentions that the Arweave community in the Philippines is developing several unique applications that highlight the versatility of the Arweave network.
One example is his personal project, Jobsy, which aims to become the largest autonomous AI network connecting jobs and talents.
In addition to Jobsy, the community is also exploring various other applications, including prediction markets, creative projects like NFT collections, games, and numerous other decentralized apps.
